Trekhprudny Lane

A. is off to the West (crept out in the wee hours this morning) and it's just me and the girls in Moscow for almost the next week. We will try to stay out of mischief. The weather is momentarily lovely and we're going to set leaf boats afloat across the pond today... and perhaps roast some tomatoes. This morning over oatmeal with persimmons (which I had never tasted before) we talked a long time about the shapes and jobs of veins (in us, in trees, and now very visible in the yellow leaves they gathered with Lena last week). It is peaceful.
