A's been on the phone with Catalan farmers all day, trying to secure the best deal for our spring/summer visit. He pulls Spanish words out of some back room in his head, unexpectedly knows all the numbers and polite expressions... Amazing.
To relieve my nervous energy I have been cooking comfort foods. Brioche, two enormous pots of soup, gnocchi with cream sauce, vegetable fritters with horseradish cream, shepherd's pie. That's only the last three days.
